Achieving luminous skin has never been this hot! (but nothing will still beat the Manila heat!) Call it what you want, the glass skin or the dewy dumpling is the look you would want to try right now. Last May, I had my first solo makeup workshop, no collaborations, just me and my slight obsession with the glow.
This is the glass skin look I did for a bridal shoot that I wanted to teach my students:
The key to glowing skin happens before the makeup. I use a serum or an essence and a moisturiser on dry areas of the face, avoiding the naturally oily parts of the skin and areas with large pores. I top it off with a light to medium coverage foundation, use a cream blush, and add a generous amount of highlighter. I dust powder only on my t-zone and sides of the nose. Voila! I get a fresh and glowing base!
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this workshop and all our generous sponsors, this event will not be possible without you. Thanks Calyxta for lending us your cool space once again. It’s always a safe makeup haven for us! Thank you Belo for our gift cards, it will surely help our participants achieve glowing skin. Belo helped me clear my forehead bumps. Thank you Nuxe for the goodie bag and your continuous support. I’m happy that our winners will get to try your famous dry oil. It’s my favorite post shower oil before I go to bed! It smells divine and keeps the skin soft. Thank you Benefit for the fab goodies and prizes. My participants are always happy to receive goodies from you. Thank you Boggy for assisting the ladies and for being my co-makeup artist. Thank you Cathy Ang for always taking lovely photos. Thanks Olga for being so nice to work with. Last but not least, thanks Little Red Riding Hood styling for our summer backdrop!
